So a lot has happened in the last month or so.....
In May, we moved a lot closer to the U campus since Derek and I both work on campus. It cut our commute from half an hour to a seven minute drive to campus. I'm glad I don't have to leave my house really early to find a parking spot on campus come this Fall semester.
We got married June 19, 2009 in Salt Lake City(pictures to be posted) and had our reception at the University of Utah Union Building. Thanks again to all of our family and friends, we couldn't have done it without you! We went to Italy for our honeymoon on June 20 and got a chance to spend 10 amazing days in Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome. Our favorite city by far was Venice, we'd love to go back again some day. We do need to post pictures of our trip as well. There were plenty of sights to see and a lot of amazing food to eat...and the gelato!
When we got back from our honeymoon it was a few days shy of July. We had Parker's 9 month check up and found out he's in the 99% for height! Our little guy is not going to be so little. He also decided to cut his first tooth that weekend, poor guy :( He's been pointing at things he wants, like food or his sippy cup. Yes, our little guy does not drink out of bottles and hasnt since maybe 8 months. He also knows what the dogs are and if you ask him "Parker, where are the dogs?" he looks for them and points. We've got a super smart little man. He also managed to master stairs and I'm glad we only have 6 in our house. The only thing left for him to do is to take his first steps and then take off running.
What's to come? Well school is just around the corner, only 39 days until classes start again and then I'll be super busy. That also means that Utah Football is just around the corner. Parker will most likely be starting day care when I go back to school or hopefully have a nanny to stay with him at home while Derek is at work and I'm at school/work. Derek has been looking for a job since graduation and keep your fingers crossed, he might find out tomorrow if he's landed the PERFECT job! As most of you know, Derek was the University of Utah EA Sports Rep for the last 2 years. He gets to go back to San Francisco this August to help out EA Sports and train their new campus reps.
